In order to complete and print the passport, the following information and documents are required. Please follow the following guidelines in preparing the documents for completing the online form.
Necessary documents
The required documents are:
1- Citizenship card
2- Completing the online form.
3- Four standard photos (5x4) (the background of the photo must be white and no more than 6 months have passed since the applicant's photo).
Passport product delivery receipt.
4- A written request with a photo of the applicant.
5- Attending the central passport office or its secondary units for biometrics and presenting the necessary documents.
6- Passports are issued for applicants under the age of eighteen only based on the written request of the parents, guardian or legal guardian of the person or with the permission of the court, and if the applicant is the mother of the person, they are required to establish their relationship from the area of residence.
7- Passports are issued to people with nasal disorders based on the request of their relatives.
8- National businessmen applying for a business passport are required to submit a valid and written license from the respective ministries of trade and other relevant departments in accordance with the law.
Passport validity period
The passport is issued for a period of five or ten years at the request of a person and can be renewed upon expiry of the validity period.
For people whose passport validity has not expired, but its documents have been used for multiple trips, a new passport will be issued against the payment of a certain product, and if the previous passport has a valid visa of one of the countries, it will be canceled and attached to the new passport.
Passports of people whose validity period has not yet expired, but whose validity period is less than the conditions set by the host country or countries, will be renewed at the request of its holders.
Amounts payable
Passport product for a period of five years amounting to (5500) Afghanis and for children under fifteen years old, civil service officers of the third level and above, military personnel with different rank and above, and for patients and their companions who have an official letter from the Health Commission of the Ministry of Health To have the public is (3250) Afghanis.
The passport product is valid for 10 years and the amount is (11,000) Afghani.
The passport product for those who destroyed their passports is (30,000) Afghanis.
In addition to paying the passport product, the applicants are required to pay (10) Afghanis for the Afghan Red Crescent and the cost of postal services in the amount of (200) Afghanis in Kabul and (500) Afghanis in the provinces.
The passport product of applicants whose passports have been burned after presenting the confirmation of the police department of the place of occurrence is the same legal amount as above.
The passport product of the applicants whose passports are lost after presenting the Afghan confirmation of announcements inside and the confirmation of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs abroad is twice the determined product.
How to pay?
After completing the online registration form, bring a copy of the completed form and go to one of the representative offices of Da َAfghanistan Bank in Kabul or the provinces and receive a receipt for the payment of the above amounts.
How to complete the online form?
After selecting the application option, at the end of this guide, the online form will be opened. When completing it, pay attention to the following points:
Name, surname, exact date of birth, year and month, place of birth, sukuk tazkire number, telephone number and height should be written accurately.
The photo that you upload in the attached form must be in color without frames, size (5x4), not photoshopped, and the person in it must be without lenses and glasses, and to show the person's real face, the person's ears must be visible in the photo (the background of the photo must be white). and no more than 6 months have passed since the applicant's photo).
The signature should be placed inside the frame so that it does not touch the lines of the frame.
The fingerprints of applicants who do not have a signature must be such that the fingerprint lines are clear.
Parents of children applying for passports can write their child's name in the frame instead of fingerprints.
